It’s a common act to share products with friends, whether it’s publicly on social media or privately by direct message, phone or in person. People are social beings and sharing information about products is just one of many topics that we communicate with each other. We refer products to be recognized; we refer to share value; we refer for altruistic reasons, and we refer to be rewarded. However, often, the people sharing “product wisdom” are not recognized and the value they create goes unrewarded. Tip #1: There are two types of referrals you can do

First type: You love a product, own it, have firsthand experience with it and you want to recommend it to others so they can experience the same benefit.

Second type: You see a product that aligns with your friend’s interests and you think they’d like the product. Go ahead! Share the product.

The point here is that referrals are fun, entertaining and maybe even a little impulsive. There are cool, new products coming out every day. If you see a product and it appeals to you, chances are it will appeal to someone else as well. Choosing to refer the product lets your friends know about it. If they buy and love it, they will have you to thank!

Tip #2: You don’t need to own the product

You can refer ANY product on our platform. You DON’T need to own it. The only reason we’d advocate owning a product is so that you have firsthand experience with the product’s benefits, therefore you can communicate the value more accurately to a friend. At the end of the day, we don’t want you “spamming” your friends with every cool product you see. We want you sharing products that they will like and buy. Aim for quality referrals that your friends will act on and gain value from.

Tip #3: Understand how many points (rBux) you get for a successful referral

The quick and easy rule is that our sellers usually offer just over 11% (11.25) on products (although this percentage can change according to seller or product). So, on a $100 pair of shoes, you will get 11.25 rBux for each friend that purchases. rBux are equivalent to $1USD, so you essentially have $11.25, which you can redeem on our seller’s sites for products or withdraw for cash.
